Court sweets shop oimatsu arashiyama store
This famous kyoto sweets shop was founded in 1908. they offer seasonal japanese sweets that focus on kyoto's history and traditional japanese ingredients, such as their signature "goshoguruma" sweet, made of soft rice crackers wrapped around bean paste, and "natsukanto" (only available from spring to summer), a refreshing cool confection made with summer mandarin juice and agar. there is a tea room at the back of the store where you can enjoy freshly made "hon-warabi mochi" with a soft, chewy texture and various other fresh sweets with matcha tea.
