The specialty is the dutch pancake "pannekoek", which looks thin like a crepe but has a chewy dough. there are about 10 types to choose from, ranging from savory types with gouda cheese and ham, which are recommended as meals, to sweet types with syrup. during lunchtime (until 1pm), there is also a plate lunch that includes a "pannekoek" with salad, soup, and a small dish. in addition to their popular hot coffee, they also serve alcoholic beverages such as draft beer.
