Kawanishi city cultural assets museum
This museum opened within the kamo ruins, part of which is designated as a national historic site. it collects and exhibits cultural assets excavated from ruins in kawanishi city. the excavated items in the museum range from the paleolithic to the middle ages, and about 300 items are displayed by era, including a replica of the sakae-kon bronze bell, which is said to have been used in festivals during the yayoi period. in addition, on saturdays, sundays, and holidays, you can experience making magatama and paper crafts of sakae-kon bronze bells, and events for children are also held during the summer holidays.
