Itsuo museum of art
The museum has a collection of 5,500 art and craft items collected by kobayashi ichizo (pen name: itsuo), who was a businessman and also famous in the world of culture and the arts. based on the wide-ranging collection of old calligraphy, ancient sutras, picture scrolls, paintings, ceramics, and lacquerware, the museum holds special exhibitions several times a year. inside the museum, there is a replica of the tea room "sokuan" that kobayashi ichizo himself designed, called "sokushinan." tea is served on sundays during the exhibition. in addition, concerts and other events are held from time to time in the adjacent magnolia hall.
