The hyogo performing arts center opened as a symbol of "spiritual recovery and cultural promotion" following the great hanshin-awaji earthquake. with three halls, large, medium and small, and under artistic director yutaka sado, it hosts a variety of performing arts events, including opera, ballet, concerts, theater and classical arts, as a base for the dissemination of arts and culture. the hyogo performing arts center orchestra, which was founded at the same time as the center, is made up of young musicians from all over the world and engages in a variety of activities, including performances and outreach.
