Rokko alpine botanical garden
This is a venerable botanical garden that opened in 1933 under the direction of botanist dr. tomitaro makino. located at an altitude of about 865m, with a cool climate equivalent to that of southern hokkaido, it cultivates approximately 1,500 species of alpine plants, cold climate plants, plants native to rokko, and other mountain wildflowers from around the world.
