Higashi yuenchi park
A historic park located within the former settlement. although it is called an "amusement park," there are no playground equipment. during the settlement period, it was used as a sports ground exclusively for foreigners, and western sports played here were introduced to japan and spread throughout the country. an artificial stream modeled after the old ikuta river flows along the tree-lined path of the park, and various monuments and sculptures are placed here and there, with benches in the shade where visitors can take a break. the performance plaza on the north side is a popular spot for business people working in the nearby offices.
