Takatsuki city shiroato history museum
This history museum is located in a corner of the former sannomaru area of takatsuki castle. it traces the history of takatsuki from the sengoku period to the edo period using a wealth of materials and models. the permanent exhibition room, which can be visited for free, introduces a wide range of information, including takatsuki castle and life in the castle town during the edo period, the saigoku kaido and akutagawa-shuku, and takatsuki's traditional industries such as sake brewing and agar jelly making. special exhibitions (fees apply) and planned exhibitions (free) are also held regularly.
