Old japanese farmhouse museum
This is a rare open-air museum where representative houses from all over japan have been relocated and restored, and are displayed alongside the everyday items used in daily life. twelve houses from the edo period have been collected in a corner of hattori ryokuchi park, covering an area of approximately 36,000 m2. from the gassho-style houses of hida shirakawa in gifu prefecture and the curved houses of southern iwate prefecture, to houses in osaka prefecture, these are all valuable pieces that give a glimpse into the architectural styles and lifestyles that were adapted to the local climate. the park's natural surroundings are a true example of japan's original scenery.
