Amagasaki city museum of history
The building of the former amagasaki municipal girls' high school has been renovated to become a hub of history and culture. the six permanent exhibition rooms introduce the history of amagasaki from ancient times to the present through the display of valuable documents and cultural assets, including amagasaki castle, which stood on the site of the main building, and items related to chikamatsu monzaemon, known for "the love suicides at sonezaki." the planned and special exhibitions, which are held with different themes each time, are also very popular.
