Miotsushi sumiyoshi shrine
It was founded in 804. it is said that the shrine was built to pray for the safe voyage of japanese envoys sent to the tang dynasty and to erect a navigational marker to welcome the returning deities. since then, it has been loved by locals as the guardian deity of the land and the deity of safe maritime traffic.
