Former ishibashi family residence
This townhouse (a prefecturally designated tangible cultural property) was built in the late edo period. the ishibashi family's history began in the late 17th century when the first generation opened a greengrocer's shop. after the meiji restoration, they engaged in retail of paper and hardware, as well as sake brewing, and later operated a general store selling daily necessities. the "gomachi maruten" event, featuring stalls from restaurants and other businesses from within and outside the city, is also held here, and the schedule and details are regularly posted on the event calendar of the itami city museum's official website.
