Nishifuku-ji temple (ozone)
Six sliding screen paintings of "cactus and chickens," six scrolls of "lotus pond," and one scroll of "landscape" by ito jakuchu, a painter from the mid-edo period, are designated as important national cultural properties (specially open to the public only on november 3rd, "culture day" each year). in addition, the temple grounds are home to the city-designated cultural property "foundation of a hōkyōintō pagoda" and ito jakuchu's painting "wild weather," as well as the magnificent ougimatsu (fan pine), a rare variety of japanese black pine that spreads throughout the grounds.
