Chokoji temple, sumiyoshi shrine
This shrine is affectionately known as "chōkōji sumiyoshi shrine." it is believed that the "nabe itadaki" ritual, a rain-making ceremony for drought-stricken areas, was held at what is now saraike park. within the shrine grounds is the "foundation of a hōkyōintō pagoda," which is a designated cultural property of the city.
