Harada shrine
It is said that the shrine was founded during the reign of emperor tenmu (672-686) and flourished as the principal tutelary shrine for 72 villages until the middle ages. the shinto ritual held in october is a representative festival of the city and is carefully preserved. the main hall is designated as a national important cultural property, and there are many other cultural properties designated by the prefecture and city.
