Kyuanji temple was founded by gyoki bodhisattva during the nara period and boasts a history of over 1300 years. it was given the name "kyuanji" during the heian period by imperial decree of emperor konoe. it is the 12th temple on the kansai flower temple pilgrimage, and visitors can enjoy "flowers, greenery, and cultural treasures," including the nationally designated important cultural property, the temple gate, and the amida buddha statue.
