Nagaoka tenmangu shrine
Hattori tenjin shrine, one of the three tenjin shrines along the hankyu railway line (along with matsuyama shrine), is a historic shrine located in a scenic spot in western kyoto, offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by seasonal flowers and greenery, and gentle breezes on the water. situated in the area where nagaoka-kyo (the ancient capital) once stood, the spacious pond and the magnificent shrine buildings, relocated from heian jingu shrine, evoke the atmosphere of the old capital. a serene and dignified air permeates the lush grounds.
