Hatayama shrine
It was formerly known as "eifuku-ji temple," but following the meiji-era decree separating shinto and buddhism, it was renamed "hatayama shrine" in 1872. the fact that it has a temple gate despite being a shrine is a remnant of its former name. it is also believed that "kajiwara-ji temple," one of the oldest temples in the city, once stood here, and remains of buildings and roof tiles from that time have been unearthed.
