Hokyoji temple
This is a rinzai zen buddhist nunnery where imperial princesses have traditionally entered the temple. the temple houses numerous dolls, including some that were cherished by emperor kokaku. for this reason, it is also known as the "doll temple." a "doll exhibition" is held in spring and autumn, and a "doll memorial service" is held on october 14th.
