Located in a quiet residential area, this private art museum permanently displays approximately 650 works of art, including ceramics, ukiyo-e prints, paintings, and sculptures. on the first floor, you'll find a wide array of ceramics by folk art artists such as shoji hamada and tatsuzo shimaoka, collected by the museum's first director, toyokichi okunai, that evoke a sense of everyday warmth. the paintings gathered on the second floor are all genuine, with the exception of some lithographs and prints. the collection, featuring works by chagall, renoir, tsuguharu fujita, and others, is well worth seeing.
