Fukusuke-do
The ikeda area, centered around the inagawa river, was once a thriving center of trade. along the old nose highway, which was a key point of that trade, there is a japanese confectionery shop founded in 1841 (tenpo 12). it is said that ichizo kobayashi was very fond of their daifuku mochi (rice cake filled with sweet bean paste), and according to the current sixth-generation owner, he may have liked the simple taste, made using traditional methods with no additives whatsoever, consisting only of rice flour, sugar, and coarse sweet bean paste made from dainagon adzuki beans. why not visit and try the taste that remains unchanged to this day?
