Tsunashiki tenjin shrine otabisha
This shrine could easily get lost in the hustle and bustle of the city. you climb the stairs to reach the main hall. the enshrined deity is sugawara no michizane. there is also a shrine dedicated to the god of women's protection within the grounds. the red plum tree that gave rise to the "ume" (plum) character in umeda stands as the sacred tree. it also serves as the office for the nearby hajin shrine.
