Tooth shrine
Nestled amidst the skyscrapers that set the trends for young people, there is a small shrine protected by a large ginkgo tree. it is commonly known as "hagami-san." the sacred boulder is believed to have "stopped" a flood, and thus it is now believed to "cure toothaches." if you are suffering from a toothache, please stroke the round stone in front of the main hall. the annual festival is held on june 4th. amulets and other items are available at the tsunashiki tenjin shrine otabisha in chayamachi on saturdays and sundays from 1pm to 5pm.
