This is a major shrine listed in the engishiki (an ancient japanese legal code), and its main deity is susanoo-no-mikoto. in 1961, osamu tezuka donated a paper lantern depicting "astro boy playing the drums" to the shrine during the annual festival, and since then, the shrine has been distributing goshuin (shrine stamps) and ema (votive tablets) featuring tezuka characters.
