Reservations are required for visits. the temple houses the hojo (abbot's quarters), a nationally designated important cultural property, and a nationally designated scenic garden. it also contains the hōkyōintō pagoda of hosokawa harumoto, a kanrei (deputy shogun) during the muromachi period.
