Tokoin temple, the temple of the bush clover
This ancient temple is said to have been founded by gyōki approximately 1300 years ago. it houses many temple treasures, including a seated statue of shakyamuni buddha, which is a nationally designated important cultural property, and is known as a temple associated with emperor go-daigo, toyotomi hideyoshi, tokugawa ieyasu, masaoka shiki, and kitaōji rosanjin. the temple grounds, which have been selected as one of "osaka's 100 green spaces," are also popular as a spot for bush clover, and the sight of the reddish-purple flowers swaying in the autumn breeze soothes the hearts of visitors.
