Kumano wakaoji shrine
Wakaoji refers to amaterasu omikami, and it is said that emperor go-shirakawa moved the kumano gongen shrine in kishu, which enshrines amaterasu omikami and other deities, to this location. it is revered as one of the three kumano shrines in kyoto, alongside kumano shrine and shin-kumano shrine.
