Located on a hill overlooking the town, this museum was established by jihei kano, the 7th generation head of hakutsuru sake brewery, famous for its sake in nada. as a prominent family even in his time, kano's discerning eye for art, honed through exposure to numerous works of art, is evident in the collection. among the approximately 1,450 precious items in the collection are many ancient art pieces, including valuable chinese bronze mirrors and silverware that evoke the silk road, and japanese calligraphy and paintings. a portion of this collection can be seen through the two exhibitions held annually in spring and autumn.
