Oichi rice and liquor store co., ltd.
Every year, a local liquor store begins selling a sake called "yakujin" (meaning "god of misfortune") to coincide with the new year's pilgrimage. made with yamada nishiki rice from hyogo prefecture and brewed with "miyamizu," a spring water from nishinomiya that has been selected as one of japan's 100 best waters, this sake boasts a refreshing taste and is a testament to the local commitment to quality. this sake has, of course, been blessed at tokoji temple and will be sold on the temple grounds throughout january. for those who don't like alcohol, there's also the yakujin rice "ryu no hitomi" (dragon's eye) which will be sold alongside it. both are available in limited quantities, so don't miss out.
