Osumi shrine
The area around osumi shrine was known as osumi island about 1700 years ago, and it is said that emperor ojin built a detached palace here. after emperor ojin's death, the villagers, admiring the emperor's virtues, built a shrine on the site of the palace and began worshipping there, which is said to be the origin of this shrine.
