Japan folk house village museum
This is a unique open-air museum that features relocated and restored representative farmhouses from all over japan, including a gassho-zukuri farmhouse from shirakawa village, ono district, gifu prefecture, a magariya (curved-roof house) from southern iwate prefecture, and a takakura (high storehouse) from amami oshima. most of the buildings are registered as important tangible cultural properties by the national or prefectural government, making them extremely valuable. visitors can tour the interiors, and everyday items essential to daily life, such as farming tools and snow boots, are on display, allowing visitors to experience the lifestyle of each region.
