Festival city
Completed in november 2012, this landmark in nakanoshima, osaka, stands approximately 200 meters tall and has 39 floors. in april 2013, the festival hall, a "temple of music," opened. the hall's appeal lies in its rich acoustics, a blend of cutting-edge technology and tradition. like the old hall, it is hoped to be loved by artists of all kinds and to deliver感動 (deep emotion) to music fans. the tower also houses festival plaza, a commercial zone based on the concept of a "glamorous adult city," as well as numerous office tenants. tower west, completed five years later, is a mixed-use building comprising offices, a hotel, and an art museum, integrating the two towers into a single "city."
