The shrine grounds are refreshing, with a tranquil atmosphere. it is said to have been established in 849 (kasho 2), and the design of the yatagarasu (three-legged crow) is striking. partly because mikage was once home to mikage normal school, which was famous for its strong soccer team, the shrine is now revered as the god of soccer by professional players, university students in the kansai region, and children. also, because the name of the shrine is very similar to that of figure skater yuzuru hanyu, he has visited the shrine several times, making it a sacred place for his fans.
